How to stripe a pickleball court, step by step
Chalk, mask, roll, pull. One person does all of it from a standing position.
Mark the corners
Measure out the 20 × 44 ft rectangle and check it is square. Both diagonals should read about 48 ft 4 in.
Snap the chalk lines
The integrated chalk line anchor holds the line at the machine, so one person snaps each sideline, baseline, kitchen line and centerline alone.
Set the width to 2″
Set the distance between the machine's two tape strips to frame a 2″ line, the width pickleball rules call for.
Push to tape
Walk each chalk line standing up. The Straight Line 1000 lays two parallel strips of masking tape with the line between them.
Roll the paint
Roll the paint your surface calls for into the gap, in a color that stands out from the court and any other lines on it.
Pull the tape
Peel both strips for a crisp edge. When the lines wear, the Off Set Pointer tracks them so you can re-mask for a refresh coat.
Pickleball lines on gym floors, tennis courts and rec centers
Most new pickleball courts start life as another sport's surface. The kit handles all of them.
Gym floors
Add pickleball to a multi-sport floor. Paint the lines in a color that stands apart from basketball and volleyball lines, using the paint and tape your floor finish system calls for.
Gyms & courtsTennis court conversions
Lay pickleball courts over a tennis court in a contrasting color so both games can share the surface and players can tell the lines apart.
Parks, schools & HOAs
Stripe and re-stripe in house instead of scheduling an outside crew every season. Schools, districts and agencies can pay by purchase order.
