Warehouse & plant floor striping
Warehouse floor striping that stays put.
Vinyl floor tape lifts, scoots and peels under forklift traffic. Painted lines last. The Straight Line 1000 masks aisle lines, walkways, staging zones and keep-clear areas from a standing position, so one operator stripes a building in days instead of weeks.
- 9,000 ftmasked per day*
- 1″–8″line widths
- Lifetimelimited guarantee
What you need: Contractors Package
Straight Line 1000 with The Caddy for rolling across the building, the Off Set Pointer for re-striping on the repaint cycle, a Protective Cover and 1″ and 4″ tape guides for the line widths your program uses.
Warehouse floor marking widths and colors
OSHA requires permanent aisles and passageways to be marked (29 CFR 1910.176). Most facilities stripe with 2″ to 6″ lines and follow a color convention such as ANSI Z535 or their 5S program. The Straight Line 1000 frames lines from 1″ to 8″.
| Measurement | Spec | What it means for striping |
|---|---|---|
| Aisle and walkway lines | Commonly 4″ wide (2″ to 6″ in use) | 4″ tape guide, or set a 4″ line with 2″ tape |
| Yellow | Aisles, walkways, traffic lanes, work cells | The most common warehouse line |
| White | Equipment and fixture locations, general storage | Production and storage zones |
| Red | Fire equipment, defects, scrap, keep-clear areas | Safety-critical boundaries |
| Blue, green, black | Raw material, finished goods, WIP by convention | Follow your 5S map |
| Red and white stripes | Keep-clear areas for safety equipment and panels | Mask both colors, two passes |
| Black and yellow stripes | Physical hazards, low clearance, edges | Mask both colors, two passes |
| Per 8-hour day | Up to 9,000 ft of masked line* | One operator, standing |
*Performance figures are based on productivity comparisons between Precision Floor Marking products and traditional methods. Confirm dimensions with the governing body or your facility standard before painting.
How a line goes down
Chalk, mask, roll, pull. One person does all of it from a standing position.
Lay out the corners
Measure the court or zone and check it is square: both diagonals should match before you snap a line.
Snap the chalk lines
The integrated chalk line anchor holds the line at the machine, so one person walks it out and snaps it.
Set the line width
Set the distance between the machine's two tape strips to the width the line calls for.
Push to tape
Walk each chalk line standing up. The Straight Line 1000 lays two parallel strips of masking tape with the line between them.
Roll the paint
Roll the paint your surface calls for into the gap, in the color your layout assigns.
Pull the tape
Peel both strips for a crisp edge. When lines fade, the Off Set Pointer tracks them so you can re-mask for a refresh coat.
